Inner tube

The choice of inner tube can greatly alter the riding characteristics of your bike: the Standard inner tube, available in all sizes, is the best choice for everyday demands, while the Light & Supersonic models allow competitors to gain in performance and therefore in speed thanks to a lower weight. Lightweight inner tubes have thinner walls that retain pressure less well, meaning they need to be inflated more often to prevent the risk of a pinch flat. On the other hand, to ride without worries, we recommend the Hermetic Plus models. Its thicker walls and higher butyl content provide excellent puncture resistance. As they keep the pressure longer, they are the preferred models of rental fleets. Our Freeride and Downhill inner tubes are particularly strong and voluminous. With their thick walls, they effectively protect against punctures.

TPU road/gravel inner tube

Continental's lightweight, space-saving TPU inner tube features a 7-layer construction of high-quality thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), with micrometer thickness.

This inner tube combines lightness and durability, making it suitable for both on-road and off-road use. The choice not to color the pipes guarantees better quality of the material and optimal sealing.

Each inner tube is subject to manual quality control after production. Additionally, the slightly tapered shape of the valve stem base improves its seating on the rim and reduces unwanted movement while riding. The internal thread of the valve stem allows the use of extensions or an aftermarket valve core.
